This is Me: 2014 Edition

This is me.  I'm 26 years old, married to my high school sweetheart and have four rescue animals.  In 2012, we had the absolute worst year, filled with death, illness, friendship loss and financial ruin.  Jumping between one catastrophe to the next, I'd decided I had enough.  I used my last $10 of 2012 to purchase a planner and the rest was history!  2013 turned out to be an impressively positive year, all thanks to my crazy planning skills and my dedication to my end goal.  At the very end of a fantastic year, my health failed me, causing a fair deal of setbacks all the way until June of 2014.  I tried and failed for several months to pick everything back up, but without a definitive starting point, it seemed like a lost cause.  While 2014 was amazing, I'm ready for change.  I want to feel the zeal of 2013, the success I had and the courage I developed.  But before I can do that, let's take a look back at some highlights from the previous year!

I became heavily involved in the KC Pagan Community.

I even took on volunteering as the official photographer for Liithi Lushede public rituals!

I met so many wonderful people this year, and we formed a new pagan group under the title Circle of Fountains.

We moved out of our cramped two-bedroom apartment full of problems to a wonderful five-bedroom house with plenty of space!

This was only a possibility thanks to the understanding and generosity of friends, family and readers who sympathized with the immense amount of environment-related illnesses my pets incurred.  All of the pets are now happy and healthy!

We had a beautiful interfaith house cleansing ritual.

We also had an amazing and fun-filled wine themed housewarming party!

I celebrated my 10 year work anniversary as a caricature artist.

And my husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary as a couple!

And last, but not least, Witchy Words started earning a very small and modest but sustainable income that I can invest into better quality posts and creativity!

Overall, it was an amazing and fun-filled year!

While 2014 was fantastic, I'd love to make 2015 an even better year.  How am I going to do that?  For starters, I'm armed with a planner...

This year's planner presented by Greenroom Eco Friendly Products!

... And a plan!

For the past few weeks, I've been analyzing every aspect of my life to come up with the perfect plan to transform my year.  Join me as I try to make the very best of 2015!

To my audience:
What were your resolutions for 2014?
How did you do?

  1. Girl I did not realize we are the same age. Lol! Here's to hoping 2015 is the year we both need. According to my horoscope, 2015 is finally supposed to be a good year for Libras after a run of several years of pure shit.

    1. lol, Here's hoping! That sounds like excellent news! I haven't looked into my horoscope yet, but numerology reports are saying this year could either go very, very well or very, very badly for me. Yikes!

  2. Wow, what timing! First, hi! I'm Steph and also 26. Second, your 2012 sounds a bit like my 2014. As a result, I've started a "year of me" path to take care of myself and live life to the fullest. I love your goals counter and concrete monthly goals, I'm doing something similar on paper. I stumbled across your blog fulfilling my goal of fully exploring my interest in paganism and witchcraft. (I'm taking it as a very, *very* good sign. :) ) For now, thank you for sharing your goals, struggles and spirituality. I'm excited to read more!

    1. Hi, Steph! I can sympathize so much with a rotten 2012, but I'm glad you're taking time for you! Good luck on your goals and your path. Thank you so much for reading!
