Líithi Lushede Coven Public Imbolc Ritual

I said I wouldn't have anything for Imbolc, but I lied!  Enjoy the following photos of Líithi Lushede Coven's public Imbolc ritual located at Aquarius Books and Vulcan's Forge in downtown Kansas City.

I apologize in advance for having no photos of the ritual itself.  It was a courtesy to avoid photographing actual participants, who may or may not still be in the broom closet.

We honored the Goddess Brigid first by chanting. A member of the coven walked about the circle with a wreath of flowers and candles upon her head lighting individual candles as we slowly began chanting "The fire of Brigid is the flame in my heart."  We then blew said candles out, releasing our wishes for the upcoming season to the universe.  Almond milk and bread was passed and eaten and appropriate goddess stories were told.

A book was provided to sign in, and Imbolc decorations were everywhere, including gorgeous ice and  flower candle holders!

After the ritual, attendants brought food for the buffet, including various breads, potato soup, and a selection of sweets.  That included my friend Sierra's delicious chocolate chip cookies!  Not being very skilled in the kitchen, I provided water bottles, which seemed to go over very well.

And that sums up Líithi Lushede Coven's public Imbolc ritual!  I'll actually be holding a small Ostara ritual at my home, so it seems like things are looking back up!

  1. It sounds like it was a beautiful ritual, so pleased you are feeling more like your old self and able to practice again. Was it well attended? There look to be lots of cakes.

    1. It really was. Each person got one cake and there weren't many (if any) left. Public rituals are so full of energy and life! And new people to meet, which is always a plus!
