    1. Thank you for asking! Cleansing and charging the stones would be imperative if you haven't already done so before beginning to put the sachet together. I typically cleanse and charge my stones under the light of a full moon, so that would mean you would have it done in advance.

    1. For the protection sachet, you'll want to get your supplies, cleanse and charge them. You can buy the supplies from a local metaphysical shop or online, and many of your local grocers will carry the herbs.

    1. I've burned both cedar and sage, using the smoke to cleanse stones before. My favorite way to cleanse and charge stones is to set them in salt out under the full moon, but there are many, many ways to do both!

    1. It's a stone. You can buy them at your local metaphysical/new age shop or online at any of the metaphysical wholesale sites. You can even get them on Amazon.com.

  6. Does it have to be snowflake or can it just be solid obsidian? and how much does obsidian usually cost per stone?

    1. Snowflake obsidian is a grounding, protective stone. Obsidian itself is more of a stone of happiness - a sort of negativity blocker for the body. I don't know if it would be a suitable substitute for protection. Some other stones that are great for protection include tiger's eye, onyx and turquoise. You can usually pick up snowflake obsidian at your local metaphysical store for less than a $1 a stone. Online, you might have to spend a couple of dollars for a few stones to get what you need. Either way, it's never too expensive. Good luck!

    2. Hi! I don't have quartz. Can i reemplaced for other stone or other thing? or not put in there, its the same? Thanks!!

    3. Quartz is an all-around great stone for just about everything and emphasizes the energy around it. It's pretty easy to get a hold of - your local home improvement store will typically carry it in various forms or you can order some online for cheap. I don't know that the sachet would pack the same punch without it, but you could give it a shot. Spell work is 90% intent after all. But if you can get your hands on quartz, I'd highly recommend it.

  7. Hello! I have a few questions. I need the protection ASAP so not much time to cleanse the stones under a full moon. What's a quicker method? Also the garlic is that a clove? Is it chopped up or placed whole?

  8. Where do i hang the sachet? Is it okay if i put close to a doorway or does it have to be above a doorway?

  9. I just have a few questions that the picture does not clarify.
On the basil, cinnamon and bay are they spices that can be used from our kitchen spice rack.

The garlic looks like it is an actual garlic but can we also use spice version.
Where do people typically hang the bag. Or to get optimal effects where would it be best to hang it.

And how much of each item is best to use. So for instance the spices and herbs, 1 teaspoon, 1 tablespoon, 2 tablespoon. And the stones 1/2", 1" or 2 that are 1/2" etc.

Also it is a protection sachet, protection from what, is this sachet used for. Negative energy from the living, negative from spirits etc.

And one more thing there have been quite a few questions from mostly people who are new, though you have some brief instructions in the photo could you add a short instruction paragraph to this that includes the answers to these questions that would make it a little easier for those of us who are new and very clueless to what we are doing.
Thank you for what you offer to us that are new to all this.

    1. Hi Eva! Many of the reasons these questions aren't answered is because this post is five years old. I'm sure many of your questions probably have answers in various comments above, but I'll tackle them one by one:

The garlic does not need to be whole.
You would hang the bag in the area you want to protect.
Use however much of each item you feel is necessary.
The protection sachet is a general all-inclusive protection for a localized area.

My more recent posts have far more details. Five years is a long time in the blogging world.

      Thank you!
